What is civil engineering?

Civil Engineering is what gives our society many of the modern conveniences we have come to expect and depend upon but which we often take for granted. Without the work of Civil Engineers, we would not have running water, flushing toilets, waste disposal and sewage treatment systems, streets, highways, bridges, tunnels, railways, airports, drainage and flood control systems, and all buildings for residential, commercial and public use.

Civil engineering services we provide include but are not limited to:

  • Creation of Construction Drawings and corresponding Project Specifications.

  • Design of Roads, Water mains, Sanitary and Storm Sewer Systems.

  • Creation of Grading Plans for Site Improvement and Development projects.

  • Hydraulic and hydrologic analysis for design of drainage, retention and flood control projects.

To help insure the quality of project construction, we provide project management including on-site inspection of project work, supervision of material testing and administration of contract documents to manage changes in work scope, remedies to deficient work, preparation of Certified Pay Estimates and Certification of Contact compliance.
